Eva Gomez
Resident Artist 2016
Eva Gomez is a videographer, photographer, and self-proclaimed shaman that practices the healing arts in Boston Massachusetts. Although originally from Miami Florida, Eva moved to Boston in pursuit of change to further inspire her artistic work and musings. After integrating herself in the local communities within the city, she spends her free time lending her artistic vision and services to local theater groups such as Beau Jest Moving Theater, as well as provide commercial work for well established alternative healing companies like Treatment Training Wellness and Cabral Wellness.
Eva traveled throughout Italy and Sicily alongside Trinacria Theatre Company in 2016, documenting both her travels and the company’s inaugural summer residency through photos and videos. Eva demonstrates a keen eye for capturing intimate and often playful moments in her subjects, as can be seen in the series of photographs and the video (“Swimming with the Fishes”) below.
Eva believes that life is to be lived passionately and thoroughly, with an open heart and a decent camera to capture it all.
Eva Gomez è una videografa, fotografa e autoproclamata sciamana che pratica le arti curative a Boston Massachusetts. Originaria di Miami Florida, Eva si trasferì a Boston in cerca del cambiamento per ispirare la sua pratica artistica e le sue riflessioni. Dopo essersi integrata nelle comunità locali della città, passa il tempo libero prestando i suoi servizi e la sua visione artistica a gruppi teatrali come Beau Jest Moving Theatre. Fornisce anche lavoro commerciali in terapie alternative per le società ben accertate come Treatment Training Wellness e Cabral Wellness.
Eva ha viaggiato in tutta l’Italia e in Sicilia insieme al Teatro della Trinacria nel 2016. Ha documentando sia i suoi viaggi che la residenza inaugurale della compagnia attraverso foto e video. Eva dimostra un occhio attento per catturare momenti intimi e spesso giocosi nei suoi soggetti, come si vede nella serie fotografica e nel video ("Swimming with the Fishes") di seguito.
Eva crede che la vita debba essere vissuta con passione e profondità, con un cuore aperto e una macchina fotografica decente per catturare tutto.
