An interview with Trinacria Artistic Director Mariagrazia La Fauci was featured this morning in DayItaliaNews and DayMessina, in which she discusses all things Trinacria, past, present, and future. Our sincere thanks to journalist Iria Cogliani, who also shared the following about her own experience at a Trinacria performance:
I saw them at work in a scenario that was most unlikely, or, at least, it seemed to me. But then the show started. That of the guest company and what they had created during the artistic residency. We were in Pezzolo, a village on the hills in the southern area of Messina. And the charm created by the residence of the Trinacria Theater Company has remained in my memory for years. I found them to let them tell this crazy story, of art that creates "bridges", of artists who come here, to a small village, starting from Boston, or from New York or London. For them, residency in Pezzolo is indispensable. So much so that they do it as "volunteers".

Li ho visti all'opera in uno scenario che era dei più improbabili, o, almeno, così mi sembrava. Ma poi gli spettacoli hanno avuto inizio. Quelli delle compagnie ospiti e quello che loro avevano creato durante la residenza artistica. Eravamo a Pezzolo, borgo sulle colline della zona sud di Messina. E l'incanto creato dalla residenza della Trinacria Theatre Company mi è rimasto in memoria per anni. Li ho ritrovati per far loro raccontare questa storia folle, di arte che crea "ponti", di artisti che vengono qui, in un piccolo villaggio, partendo da Boston, o da New York o da Londra. Per loro la residenza a Pezzolo è irrinunciabile. Tanto che la fanno da "volontari".
